We are living a completely new world with the impact of COVID-19. Nothing is what it was. What should have been a very straight forward loan process became unpredictable and precarious during these times. RECOMMENDED FOR VETERANS- If you are a military veteran seeking to use your hard-earned home-buyer VA financing benefit, I can only provide the highest praise and personal recommendation for Mr. Kennedy and his staff, based on the experience I had and the results I enjoyed while working through the loan approval and closing process. One word of caution: Having the paperwork in order that you will need for a VA loan application (examples: DD-214, proof of citizenship, etc.) will greatly speed up the process. Mortgage Source provides a web site you can use for secure document uploads from your computer, and gives Mr. Kennedy instant and direct access to the information once it is uploaded. This was by far the most helpful paperwork transfer feature available to me throughout the loan application and approval process, since it bypasses the timing and reliability issues associated with physical documentation transfer . When we started this path we had no idea how big that mountain was. We went thru the banks no luck. John was very nice and to the point about everything. He told me you need to raise your credit scores to make the loan work. He told me you need to do this and this and laid the whole thing out for us so that our credit scores would go up. Well, he made it happen . To be honest, I was skeptical and shopped around and talked to everyone even our realtors contacts. Even the local rep from Wells Fargo actually said, this is such a great deal why are you even looking around. No one could do what john said he could get done. Everyone warned me that when settlement day came I would be sorry. But the only thing I was sorry about was doubting it could be done and wasting so much time worrying.
